QRMax Integrations: Connect with 2,000+ Apps

A QR code scan is a user intent signal — someone physically pointed their camera at your code, which means they're engaged and present. For too long, that signal has been wasted: the user lands on a page, the visit is logged, and nothing else happens. QRMax's new integration platform changes that. Every scan can now trigger automated workflows across 2,000+ connected apps, turning each physical touchpoint into a live event in your marketing stack.

How the Integration Platform Works

QRMax integrations are built on a combination of native connections (HubSpot, Salesforce, Shopify, Mailchimp) and a Zapier/Make bridge that unlocks the remaining 2,000+ apps in those automation ecosystems. When a QR code is scanned, QRMax fires a webhook event (qr.scan) containing the scan metadata: QR code ID, timestamp, device type, OS, city, country, and any custom parameters you've embedded in the QR URL. Your connected automation receives this payload and can trigger any downstream action: create a CRM lead, add a tag, send a Slack notification, log a row in a Google Sheet, or update an inventory count.

Native HubSpot & Salesforce Integration

The native HubSpot integration is the most requested feature in QRMax's history. When configured, a QR scan creates or updates a HubSpot contact automatically if the scanner is identified (via a link that carries a pre-filled form token or UTM parameter matching an existing contact). The integration maps QRMax scan properties — QR code name, campaign, geo — to HubSpot contact and deal properties. For sales teams using QR codes on printed sales materials, this means a prospect scan triggers a HubSpot task for their rep with location and timing context. The Salesforce integration follows the same pattern, with native field mapping to leads, contacts, and opportunities.

Shopify: Scan-to-Cart and Inventory Flows

The Shopify integration has two primary use cases. Scan-to-Cart embeds a Shopify cart token in the QR destination URL, so scanning the code on physical packaging pre-populates the shopper's cart with the exact product for reorder. The inventory flow goes the other direction: when a product's inventory drops below a threshold, an automated workflow in Shopify (via Make) updates the QRMax destination for that product's QR code to a 'back in stock' notification page, preventing customers from landing on a dead product page. Both flows are configurable without code.

Building Custom Integrations with the QRMax API

For teams with custom infrastructure, QRMax's REST API and webhook system provide full programmatic control. Every scan event is available via webhook subscription with configurable filtering (fire only for QR codes in a specific campaign, or only for scans from a specific country). The API supports creating, updating, and deleting QR codes programmatically, reading scan analytics, and managing campaigns and folders. We publish an OpenAPI 3.1 spec and maintain SDKs for JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and Go. Enterprise customers get a dedicated integration support channel.

Popular Integration Use Cases

  • HubSpot: Create or update contact on scan, assign to rep, log activity
  • Salesforce: Create lead from scan event with QR code and geo metadata
  • Shopify: Scan-to-reorder flow, inventory-aware destination updates
  • Mailchimp / Klaviyo: Add scanner to email list with campaign source tag
  • Slack: Real-time scan notifications to channel (great for event check-in monitoring)
  • Google Sheets: Log every scan to a spreadsheet row for custom analytics
  • Airtable: Track physical marketing asset performance by QR code
  • Zapier: Connect to any of 6,000+ Zapier-supported apps without code

Conclusion

Integrations transform QRMax from a QR generator into a physical-to-digital data pipeline. The most impactful deployments we've seen connect QR scans directly to sales workflows — every scan from a trade show booth business card becomes a qualified lead in the CRM within seconds. If you're on Pro or above, the integration hub is available in your dashboard under Settings → Integrations. Start with one integration, measure the downstream impact, and expand from there.
